A concise reference for the most common terms used in coupon codes and online shopping discounts.
- Coupon Code(Promo Code · Discount Code)
- A string of letters/numbers entered at online checkout to discount the order total.
- Coupon(Voucher)
- A digital voucher carrying a time-limited offer (code or link) that lets shoppers save money at checkout.
- Promo Code
- The English synonym for a discount code, widely used on global stores such as Bath & Body Works.
- Cashback
- A monetary refund of part of the purchase that is credited back to the shopper after order completion, usually via an intermediary platform.
- Free Shipping
- An offer that waives delivery fees, either unconditionally or once the cart exceeds a defined minimum.
- Expiry Date
- The last day the coupon code remains valid; after this date the code is automatically rejected at checkout.
- Exclusive Code
- A code available only through a selected partner platform (e.g. bathbodycoupons.com) and not listed on the brand's own page.
- Auto Discount
- A reduction applied to the cart automatically — no code entry needed — once the offer conditions are met.
- Minimum Order
- The smallest cart value required for a discount code or free-shipping offer to apply.
- Affiliate
- A marketing model where the publisher earns a commission on purchases made via its tracked link at no extra cost to the shopper.
